On the Great St. Bernhard Pass in Switzerland, where the hospice of the same name has existed since its foundation in 1050, the installation of a new wastewater treatment plant was urgently needed. The strict requirements of the Swiss Wastewater Ordinance called for an efficient and effective treatment system. However, the location at 2,469 metres above sea level posed a particular challenge, as a completely new system was needed and transporting the containers was difficult. With the Carat tanks, we offered the ideal solution: thanks to their design, they could be easily flown by helicopter to the site despite their size.
